Building Brand Awareness and Transparency for Non-Profit Plymouth Swim Club

Plymouth Swim Club
SERVICES & SOLUTIONS PROVIDED
Plymouth Swim Club is a non-profit organization that started in 1960. It supports the Plymouth Meeting community with outdoor summertime fun for all ages. Members of PSC are able to access three swimming pools, sports courts, snack bar, playground, picnic facilities all located on over 12 acres of beautiful grounds.
The Opportunity
With no clear online presence, the Plymouth Swim Club struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic. Families didn’t know if the pools and sports courts were open or what the protocol was for attendance. Plus, PSC had no way to clearly communicate information to their members. Because of this, membership and funds for the PSC had declined.
The Solution
Recognizing the opportunities presented meant a large lift with a tight budget, Iperdesign started with a full branding overhaul for PSC. We built a brand identity, including content, design, and photography that could then be carried across multiple marketing channels, including a new website and social media with a focus on Instagram and Facebook.
Supporting Member-Focused Initiatives
Before starting the project, we brainstormed with PSC to understand where the gaps were for their business and strategize possible answers. We landed with one clear answer: PSC needed a website that clearly communicated its mission, its events and activities, and any pandemic-related protocols. This would help them stay transparent with their members while encouraging safe attendance at events happening during the season.
The website was built with the members in mind: we curated frequently asked questions, COVID-19 updates, and PSC information in one place. We also created a form where members could ask questions or request updates, making it an interactive process to continue improving the PSC. The site’s navigation let members plan ahead for when the club would open, what activities they could enroll in, and any important news and updates that they needed to be aware of. All of this was done with fun photography and encouraging, informative copy.
We also created an email newsletter, making it easier than ever for parents and families to stay updated on the most need-to-know information without having to check back on the site. Knowing the PSC’s members love to share their family’s accomplishments on social media, we optimized PSC’s Instagram account so not only could members find important information there, but they could also post about their activities at the club. This community-building initiative further supported and boosted the Plymouth Swim Club’s presence in the Philadelphia area.
