We caught up with Erika our Project Manager and Digital Marketing Account Coordinator, who shares her interests and love for her family.
What is your role at iperdesign?
I’m the Project Manager and Digital Marketing Account Coordinator which means, if you start a project with us, I am the person responsible for setting up the project and making sure all deadlines are met. I also manage Digital Marketing for our clients; I devise the strategies for their Google Ads campaigns and monitor the continual improvement process on Google Analytics.
What are some of your current goals?
I’ve been trying to teach myself more digital marketing skills involving data science. It’s great for me that iperdesign has such a collaborative environment because I can pick up new skills and learn new techniques. My personal goal is to learn something new every day and to stay current with trends.
What is one designing or coding pet peeve of yours?
My work doesn’t involve much designing and no coding, so thankfully I have no pet peeves!
When you show people around New Jersey, where do you take them?
My favorite places to show people in Jersey are Top Golf, Seaside Heights, and Johnson’s Farm. I want people who visit to meet my family and see my hometown, I think it helps them understand my perspective on life.
If you weren’t at work today what would you be doing?
If I’m not at work I am either at home with my family or outside doing something. I like to go for long-distance runs as it challenges me to push myself, both mentally and physically. I am also starting to play golf more and regularly visit Top Golf or Indian Springs driving ranges. I also love to go shopping at Centerton Square.
Music or Podcast recommendations?
The music preferences I listen to are versatile, I can be anywhere from country music, R&B to hip hop. I don’t really listen to many Podcasts anymore but I did enjoy Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations. I like learning more about people, and how they got to where they are in life.
Any hidden skills or talents?
I enjoy singing and improv acting. I love the theatre! I used to play the violin a lot but I need to get back to the level I used to be at, it’s really enjoyable to pick up the violin again. I would also love to learn how to play acoustic guitar.
Who is someone you admire and why?
I admire my parents because I always enjoy hearing their stories, wisdom and learning the best lessons from them. I always trust their guidance. I really aspire to carry on the values they instilled in me to my family in the future. In terms of people in history, I admire Coco Chanel because of the way she built her empire and revolutionized women through fashion design.
If you were to write an autobiography what would the title be?
It’d be a play on a positive message such as “Be Yourself ” I would want my autobiography to inspire and help people discover their individuality and to stay true to it.
